NH> Can anybody tell me how I can remove this print task (which NH> should hopefully remove the spool file from disk)? PS> It depends on the print system in use... try: PS> lprm I read the man page on lprm() and thought I understood it... famous last words. Not knowing the jobid (there was only one print job on the queue) I tried: lprm 0 nothing lprm 1 You don't own the job. What? Whaddya mean, I'm the administrator... gawd's right-hand dude... I can cancel anything I like... can't I? Anyway, I saw at the bottom of the man page: see also cancel() I tried "cancel -a" and it worked like a charm. Apparently this has something to do with something called CUPS. Do you have any idea what that is? þ CMPQwk 1.42 999 --- Maximus/2 3.01* Origin: COMM Port OS/2 juge.com 204.89.247.1 (281) 980-9671 (1:106/2000) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 106/2000 633/267 |
