I read the man page on lprm() and thought I understood it... famous last
words. Not knowing the jobid (there was only one print job on the
queue) I tried:

lprm 0

nothing

lprm 1

You don't own the job.

What? Whaddya mean, I'm the administrator... gawd's right-hand dude...
I can cancel anything I like... can't I?

Anyway, I saw at the bottom of the man page: see also cancel()

I tried "cancel -a" and it worked like a charm. Apparently this has
something to do with something called CUPS. Do you have any idea what
that is?
