I think its more than just the smoking of it, but I agree the smoking is
certainly very bad.  The way a joint is smoked the tars and other
carcinogens that are delivered and held in the lung for longer periods of
time make smoking a joint worse than smoking a regular cigarette in terms
of the delivery of tars and carcinogens into the lungs.
