Hello Neil!

Replying to a message of Neil Heller to Bo Simonsen:

 NH>
BS>> I was visiting IBM together with my school. A programmer
BS>> there said that they didn't even use C++, it was too 'new'.

NH> It's more likely that IBM doesn't use C++ because they didn't develop
NH> it. IBM has become widely known as as the prime implementer of the
NH> NIH (not invented here) philosophy.

I'm not sure where this all comes from. I know we're limited (due to
performance reasons only) what parts of C++ we can use, but I can tell you
that the software project I work on could not be compiled with a C
compiler.

Darin
(who works for, but doesn't speak for, IBM)
