Woodward was present in the room when the conversation took place.  So its
not hearsay, but direct observation by the witness (Woodward).  Woodward is
the darling of the left ever since he helped bring down Nixon.  I thought
the left hung on every word and thought of his, and that his credibility
was beyond reproach to the left.
