Once I had to wash half the engine compartment with that solution after a battery explosion. The explosion was caused by the starter motor not disengaging after the engine had started. I would have noticed that additional sound when the starter was still on but I had loaned the car to my youngest daughter. She wasn't used to drive that car and didn't notice anything odd.
