  I think the main problem with the Yaroze is that it requires a certain 
amount of committment to be halfway viable.  No one would create and burn a 
game just for themselves; but you'd have to have made a mighty fine game 
before Sony will look at it.  But creating a PC game (even if it's just an 
add-on) can get you noticed more easily, if just because you don't have to go 
through any uber-company for approval.  If it's good enough, they come to 
YOU, and it has happened (I think the people who made Shrak were originally 
doing it just for fun).
