There have been several last straws for me,  but yet another one this week
was the firing of David Gunn by cronies of Bush. Gunn was one highly
qualified, straight talking, effective SOB who had lead transit turnarounds
in both New York Toronto. Which of of course means his expertise is no
longer required (shades of the "Idiot America" thread just
posted).

Thumbs down.

(Which doesn't mean I can stomach any of the alternatives. Hobson's choice,
it seems to me.)
