Greetings fellow scanner freaks!!!
I am relatively new to all this so forgive me if this is a stupid
question. I have a Radio Shack Pro-39 scanner with standard rubber
whip attenna(is this the best antenna?) and when I try to enter
certain frequencies, usually belonging to some federal agency, the
scanner won't take 'em. It will set itself to a close frequency and
sometimes kicks back error messages. Can someone illuminate me on
these matters and tell me what I must do to be able to listen to
all the frequencies. Thanks!!
P.S.- Ive also heard rumors about 'access codes' needed to access
certain maintenance functions used by Radio Shack techs.
