I guess EEPROM equivalent to 27C4096 wouldn't cost a fortune and when USR releases v42bis fix I'm willing to test if it works on my modem. If it doesn't flash then I guess I'll need EPROM programmer and do it hard way. BTW, what's required for flashing support? There aren't many components around ROM/RAM area apart from a couple of 245 and a one transistor (and few passive components of course). Bloody hard to trace the tracks on this board, I suppose my eyes can remember better times.
