i'm sure that there's a huge list of them... i never ran etheral and have
no problems with the older wireshark interface...

bug fixes and module updates, mainly... there were some instances where
traffic could gain access or be missed by wireshark due to buffering
problems... it is highly recommended to use the latest version if at all
possible... especially when working with network traffic... it would not be
a good thing to have some infestation gain a foothold due to a bug in an
analysis tool like wireshark ;)
