Patrick, I found this happening more and more often now. For some
reason, the speed drops from 28.8 to 300, and more commenly from 14.4
connection down to 300. Yet the connection is a perfect one. It is when a
user tries to download something off the system, the cps rate starts
dropping, and in fact the modem starts reporting 300 bps connection! More
so, it looks like the modem freezes or something, since I can't hang it up
except to press the power button on it!
