I have a Money Market account with the Mutual Fund group, if I need to add a
few dollars to stock (dollar average) I get on the computer and transfer it
or get on the phone and have it moved. If you buy/sell something it goes to
the stock or MM account. My IRA automatically deposited to my MM account each
month. Each MM,MF and Security has a register just like a checking account.
