PN>To all! I've left a message here before but unfortunately to no
PN>avail nobody has replied and the topic is important to me. My
PN>question concerned Science and Tehnology in the Primary classroom.
PN>On my last practicum (I'm a final year student at Sydney University)
PN>I did a program on Electricity. Due to the lak of time available we
PN>only got as far as doing closed circuits and inserting switches.
PN>Many children later went on, on their own, to making parallel and
PN>series circuits, others added motors to theirs etc. However, where
PN>could I go from here? Next year I'm going to be in the classroom
PN>and I need to know WHAT NEXT?
Did you use meters to measure voltage, current, etc?
Ohm's Law? Energy, Power calculations (multiplication
and division). Graphing changes in voltage, current as
resistance varies? Circuit boards with switchs to allow
various circuits to be constructed (combinations of series
and/or parallel) which the kids can manipulate to see the
effect on bulbs (circuitry can be hidden so that kids have
to discern the circuit layout)....
