ISTR something similar in Hackensack, NJ, where a new building obstructed
the view of the NYC skyline and the obstructees (?) got compensation.

My house has a water view: if you mash your face against a front window and
squint to the right you can see a bit of Fischer's Island Sound, part of
Long Island Sound; a better view from the top of the hill in the back yard,
among the poison ivy.
