subject: Austel Approved Couriers

JP> How can one tell whether or not the Courier V.Everything is Austel
JP> approved? Unlike NetComm modems, there is no Austel permit number and
JP> logo printed on the base of the modem itself. My modem was shipped up
JP> from Modem Connection in Melbourne, which is the Australian
JP> USRobotics dealer. Would this mean the modem has been approved?

My Courier also has no Austel sticker on it. However, there is a small
sticker on the box which reads -

Austel permit number
   A94/25F/0328

And it has the Australian code in it, (ATI7).

Regards,
Frank

... Why isn't phonetic spelled the way it sounds?
