Krieg, Vasoline is a petroleum bi-product. I have used it on plaster as a
mold release when casting
sculptures. Once it soaks into the plaster I know of no way to remove it.
Since plaster soaks up water
it also soaks up anything else. You can clean the outside, but not the inside..
