The above describes a policy, not a logical point-of-view.

I don't know if you think that ONLY G-d does things. If you do, your policy
is that all things are good. The result is that the word "good"
has no meaning to you.

A complex event like 9/11 has many facets. One aspect is that we all get to
evaluate what is important to us (should I do an extra three hours work for
the Boss tonight, or should I think about my family?).

Another helpful aspect is that the problem of militant Islamism is out in
the open, and people are grappling with how to deal with it.

But the core event (crashing planes into civilian targets in order to kill
thousands of innocent people) is BAD! Any deity worthy of respect would not
want you to puzzle over this point.
