I don't use anything special for faxing, apart from what the

software does - I'm using BitFax Pro for Windows which came with my

older 14.4 Dynalink.

Capture few diagnostics screens (ATI6I11) and only while online

capture ATY11. That should give at least some idea about your line.

I'd put my money on your line giving problems but you never know. My

only trouble is with some Rockwell based modems, they don't connect

at all (either "Unable to retrain" or "MNP incopatibility" error

messages) but they connect happily at max speed half a minute later.

Nothing special, just X2 to fix tones detection, &K0 to disable

v42bis and I think I've cranked up tone diallind to a faster pace.

You can always experiment with some Blue Tack....either over the

speaker or in your ears.
