RP>On 01-30-98, JOHN SAMPSON declared to MIKE ANGWIN:
JS>I agree Mike. Believe it or not, the affair between Kaiser Wilhelm V
JS>Klinton and the nymphette Monica Lewinsky is actually a matter betwe
JS>Klinton and Brunhillary.
RP>Adultery is a criminal act, a fact our society has chosen to ignore.
Adultery is still a misdemeanor in the District of Columbia. However, when
was the last time anyone was charged with that crime, much less convicted?
Let's get reasonable here. Granted, it's a crime. It's prosecutable. But do
you honestly think you could find a jury in the District of Columbia that
would CONVICT him? Remember this is the same city that re-elected it's
crack smoking Mayor AFTER he was convicted. Marion Barry. So do you think
that they'll convict Clinton?
JS>What he does behind closed doors in the sexual
JS>arena, IDEALLY should be his business. However, since he is the Pres
JS>and therefore the Commander In Chief, he has to set the example.
RP>Exactly! Therefore, his dalliances are of extreme importance and not t
RP>be shrugged off the way we see being done by so many. The impact of hi
RP>devaluation of the marriage contract, and the example of his blatant
RP>twisted promiscuity, both uncondemned by popular culture, will be felt
RP>for many years to come as those who feel licensed to follow his lead
RP>live out those lessons in their own lives. Failure to bring him to
RP>account on those issues will be far more damaging to this society than
RP>most can apparently imagine.
JS>How can one justify the Senior NCOs now languishing in Leavenworth f
JS>behavior that is similar if not identical to that of their CIC?
RP>What can't be justified is failure to hold the CIC to at least the same
RP>standard.
Agreed. But the fickle voting public reelected the cad.
JS>What about Lt. Kelly Flynn?
RP>Apparently, her mistake was not being a liberal DemonRat president.
JS>And more importantly, WHERE is Patricial Ireland during all this?
RP>Buying more shares in abortion mills and smiling all the way to the
RP>bank, knowing business is likely soon to get even better.
JS>I seriously doubt that Gore would pardon Klinton. For if he did, the
JS>would have a ready made issue for the 2000 campaign.
RP>Agreed.
JS>To put the issue at hand in clear focus, and to paraphrase the
JS>Klinton's 92 slogan, "It's the issue of Perjury stupid!"
RP>Not just perjury, but everything that makes up what is called character
RP>The criminal act of perjury is simply one symptom of a character devoid
RP>of virtue.
Robert: I agree in principle to everything you've said. However the sad
reality we face is that there are enough people out there who vote Dow
Jones and not Paula Jones to ensure that the idiot gets his way. And
Hitlary is the conniving uh, you know, and power hungry person that decided
to forsake morality for power and fame.
