MW> I am new to this echo, and I am not trying to make any
MW> enemies... But I noticed that there was a debat on whether or not car
MW> audio should be considered Pro Audio. Someone said that pro audio is
MW> for people interested in recording, etc. Well...You have to take into
MW> consideration that most people listen to music while driving to where
MW> ever it is they need to go.
"Most people" are not audio professionals, they are consumers. I have
yet to meet an audio professional that has spent more that $500 on
a car audio system.
MW> Now, I must admit that this fascination
MW> with how hard your car 'hits' has gotten a little out of hand...But
MW> being indirectly involved in the car audio (and home audio) business
MW> you come to realize that all people are different.
If my car "hits", it will be a tree (he said hoping for a different
fate).
MW> I happen to have a
MW> Jeep Wrangler with an Alpine CD player, amp, 6x9's, and a Kicker 10 in
MW> a box designed for maximum performance (by Kicker). I do not heve
MW> this in my Jeep for competitions, but so that I can hear my music
MW> while driving long distances with the top off. Now I realize that
MW> there are a lot of people who will never consider car audio Pro Audio,
MW> but just remember that if it wasn't for car audio there would be a
MW> lot less CD sales. I happen to have two of all of my favorite CDs
MW> (one for home and the other for the car).
I should have bought stock in the CD industry; if I had, you would be
my favorite consumer! :) Take care.
