Hmmm.  After thinking about this a bit more, there is one huge exception to 
the above conclusion and that is in relation to what is called "Real Time 
Embedded" applications.
 
I mention this here in this C++ echo becasue virtually every RT embedded 
consulting job I get calls on during the last 2 years states they want 
"C/C++" programmers.  I keep thinking this is a mistake on the part of the 
people coming out with kind of job spec but perhaps I am in error.
 
Is it plausible to write such RT apps in C++ - and still meet real time 
criteria?  I am not sure.  Perhaps some else here can comment on this.
