Oh, really?  My father came to this country to get away from Britain's
post-war depression in 1951. He married, raised a family, ran a business,
became a fanatical 49er Faithful, taught us kids to honor both our American
citizenship and British heritage.  He was a Lion, and served as Grand
Marshal of the Los Gatos Christmas Parade for several years. He also wrote
a column for our local paper that he used as advertising for Berry Travel
Service.

He was a legal resident alien for nearly 30 years, until Ronald Reagan
prompted him to get his citizenship. He wanted to be able to vote against
the bastard. Due to the wheels of INS, he missed his chance, but I got to
attend his swearing in in my dress greens.

Don't you ever insinuate that the millions who come here legally every year
are lesser people. Most of them are worth ten of you.
