Yep, I'm sure it would be fun! And usefull too. I see a few boards are
accessable by ssh in addition to telnet. Not doable by what I'm using here
but I see some do it that way.

Is there a more secure telnet, on port 995 or somesuch?

As far as ftn transfers go I think binkd is secure and supported pretty well
across the board as well as being freely available for about any hardware
anyone might be using.
