KN> It might, after you've heard _New Symphonia_.
CR> I've heard two songs from it because they are on that 2-disc Caravan

The New Symphonia, is a very nice, I shall say VERY NICE, live album,
and all of us here would gladly pay a handsome price to get a chance
at it. Although the lines notes in "Canterbury Tales" are not
favorable, the bass player hated it, when one listens to it from
a distance, it is a magnificent orchestral rendition of Caravan's
stuff, under the excellent direction of Peter Knight. And it
DOES NOT sound like a hashed crap material with an orchestra, like
the Moody Blues, or some of the other crap that has come around.
It was, at least in my feeling, a very well conceived, and designed
thing, and it shows.
It really signals a direction that the band could have taken, were
it not for a couple of musicians that were terribly afraid of dealing
with an orchestra, and what appears to have been a lot of fragile
egos. But this is not the Portsmouth Symphony, and this is an
album that I listen to all the time, and a wonderful one at that.
