Ah but I'm talking the outdoor vending machines only. Wont find generics
in ¨there. Qoo is an all time favorite with us. Comes in several flavors
(fruity ¨ones) and mildly carbonated. They have one that had green on the
can (or ¨bottle, some machines do the plastic bottles) and it tastes just
like a fresh ¨burst of liquid crisp lettuce! Sells out really fast in hot
weather sadly so ¨it's hard to find just now.
Next favrites are 'Pocari Sweat' (love the name!) and Daqari. (note the
¨Japanese do not always follow a 'q' with a 'u').

I findit hard to fathom it being that hot every day where you are in
summer! ¨You live so much more north! Tht 40-43C is 105-110F!!! If you
check on a web, ¨you will not find that for Sasebo because the weather
station is on the other ¨side of a mountain range and it's 10-15 degrees F
cooler over that way. I base ¨my posts on the thermometer in my kitchen
(in the outside window, not in direct ¨sun) which reads both C and F
scales. Yesterday for 3 hours we hit what the ¨base calls 'double black
flag' (115F, no PT allowed outdoors unless it's ¨bicyling to and from
work). It's unusual to hit that hot this early so thats ¨why the rules.
Once we start averaging 100F, they relax that as we are adapted ¨to it and
the rule then only applies to 'mandatory PT not allowed'.
Right now we average (I still think more in F but trying to adapt as I know
¨where you live it's C) low 90's F. 35-38C roughly.
Wanna really mess me up? Give me an oven that only reads in C! Yikes!
They ¨have them here too. Mostly toaster oven types.
CS> lingers through parts of what other people have as 'fall'.
MK> Most of Canada only gets two distinct seasons; winter and that brief '
MK> season' others call summer. :-)
Hehe yuppers! Here, it's really distinct though the fall feels 'shorter'
than ¨the other 3 seasons. Move north of us to Osaka and they are all
evenly based. ¨Northernmost Japan has the ice festivals with wonderful
huge ice creations ¨because they are basically located at the sothern tip
of what would be Siberia ¨easterwards of it (not as severe a climate as
Siberia, but quite cold in ¨winter). Nothernmost part has what would
qualify as 'winter' to many of us for ¨5 months of the year.
