Many sources over the years. I tell my kids they 'see' what
they want to see and would skip right past this information and
never even 'see' it within an article. ;-)

No one seems consciously aware of any of this. Everyone can
tell you that the 'boomers' are the largest age grouping within
the US (and elsewhere) but will then argue that young people
'rule' in the marketplace. The obvious question is how do these
young people manage to 'rule' over their fathers and mothers
and have more money than mom and dad do? Answer: They don't. 

Just think of Gates, Wozniak, Jobs, Torvalds, Stallman, McAfee,
Norton, Dvorak, and other well known names - they are all in my
age group (boomers) more-or-less. There are no 'name' people in
their 30's or younger that I am aware of? The PC was created by
boomers for boomers and when the boomers are gone the kids will
revert to PDA's and PlayStations with keyboards. While the
programming/design is done in India and China. ;-) 

NASA's average age manager is boomer-based too btw. ;-) 

(Gates might be borderline X-Gen, not sure of his actual age)
