SB> SS> At one point there was talk of Sam Elliott playing Travis
SB> SS> McGee. Dunno why, but I like that idea. He has sort that
eat-up
SB> SS> look that MacDonald uses in his description of Trav & the sort of
SB> SS> smile that I'd guess McGee to have.
SB> I could live with that (even if he's not Travis in my mind's eye, he's
SB> fine to look at!).
Now you're talking! Sam would be great.
SB> SS> The really tough casting for
SB> SS> me would be finding just the right actor to play Meyer.
I can't recall the name, but he played the butler, caretaker of two
little kids in a series. Right size, distingushed enough to have worked
on Wall Street, right age... (at least at that time he would have been
the right age.
SB> The guy that plays the coffee man on TV's "Ellen" fits the physical
SB> description (if a bit too young).
Some one else as Travis might be Roseanne's ex-husband. He's doing some
fine work these days.
