PS>One has to remember that test are not the entire process. Yet, the
PS>public seems to think so. If they(public) are serious about raising
PS>standards - and I question that -
Me too; it's more along the lines of the "You can cut xyz,
but not MY programs", or, "We have to be tough on those OTHER
kids, but MY kid is just fine the way things are" mentality.
PS>then there needs to be a look at the entire process. Set the goal,
PS>research the problem, use a proven methololgy, fund the methology,
PS>decide how to evaluate the outcome.
Which is a reasonable, logical approach - Which more or less
ensures it'll never happen! ;-)
PS>The process of simply raising standards is like saying that I am going
PS>to get my boat out of the water simply by raising the stern three feet.
More like trying to drop the water level UNDER the boat and
expecting it to hover in midair - Too many roadrunner
cartoons! ;-)
