subject: Loop System.

I use a PA System, Average ish but the auditorium has
a loop system running around the outside. The area is
quit large.
The problem is that the loop is being induced into the
forback amplifiers and electric guitars and causing
enormous problems. The loop is running 4-ohms off
a 25Watt Mic-Amp. The musicians are basically sitting
on top of the wire which hhas been placed under the carpet.
One idea was to move wire around the musicians so they
were outside the loop area and so decreasing the effectivness
as that point. This means pulling an enourmous are of carpet
up, moving 300+ chairs, pianos, organs, mics etc.. An
enourmous job so I am looking for another option.
Is there an pickup replacements that you can think of. The
guitar is a Washburn, and has a humbuker pickup.. It sounds
awfull and so I don't want to replace all the pickups with those.
I have thought about running lead taping around the areas
near the musicians, over the wire but the tape is very expensive.
Any ideas...
