If either of you had 64 bit hardware and 64 bit Vista and the machine
sported 4 gb or more of ram, you both short changed yourselves by stepping
back to 32 bit.

The maximum RAM a 32 bit OS can address is 4gb, but if you have 4gb or more
of RAM in a 32 bit OS, you will only get to enjoy 3.4gb of it, as the rest
is reserved for device address space.

Windows 8 which I would presume will enjoy a 2012 release, may not even be
available in 32bit?
