I had previously tried using the Win32 build of MultiMail v0.49 downloaded from
http://multimail.sourceforge.net/.  Despite setting up the mmail.rc file
according to the docs, it would crash as soon as I tried to open a QWK packet. 
Your build, with no changes to mmail.rc works no problem.
