BK>Well howdy Laura.. welcome back.
Thanks for the welcome. I've really missed Equus. I just haven't been able
to do anything on-line other than pull up properties to show, CMA's etc.
hat
isn't nearly as fun as checking in on Equus, though. I hope I can keep up
with it this time!
BK>Well when Tush (CJ's filly) is in between fighting bugs
BK>(she catches everything).. we've been doing everything we
BK>can. She's met a fire engine, she drives, you name it! :)
I guess I've been really lucky. My girls have always been "healthy as a
horse!" Phoenix has never been sick except for a mild colic or two. They
have gone away in a matter of hours, except for the first time. Who knows
how sick she really was then. She was a baby and every little ouchy was
worth melodrama. She'd perk right up when the balding vet came to see her
and would squat down in her paddock to observe her. He had a hard time
getting her to act normal because she enjoyed swirling the few hairs on
his head with her upper lip. What a clown!
BK>Yes Meg did get another horse.. chuckle.. it's an Appy mare! (ACK!) ;)
I'm sure Fiddle is happy. Aps can be fine animals. I've seen some great
nes.
I've also seen the roman nosed, pig eyed, rat tailed kind that behave the way
they look. I had an ap, or maybe a POA, when I was young. We bought her as
a two year old. She was about 14hh then. She had the best attitude!!!
Once I got her from the trainer, she was calm, sweet and willing to do
anything.
That was a great change from my feisty TB X QH two year old who would dump
me every chance she got. I'll always remember Seven Up's Glory, the ap
I knew and loved. I don't remember EVER getting thrown from her!
Boy is it great to be back!! Now I've got to clean a stall.......
