I actually never had surgery until 2000. Previously, I was just suffering from
congestive heart failure and an almost terminally enlarged heart. When I did
have surgery, it was minimally invasive (catheter ablation). Fortunately, I take
after my mother's side of the family (arrhythmias) rather than my dad's
(coronary artery disease).

Before I built my SNIPPETS archive maintenance tool suite, it was taking me a
full day to do an update. And again, that's not counting the upload time (I
think I was still using a V.32 back then). That three hours was a major
improvement! If I were still doing it the same way today, it would probably be
only an hour due to faster machines.

I hope so, or else I'm left with an awfully expensive corn field! ;-)
