Hello, multitudes!
There's a question I need answered, and I was hoping some audiophile
types in the know might help me. For an article I'm writing, I would
like to know (1) what the absolute time limit of a typical audio CD is -
to the best of my knowledge it's somewhere in the vicinity of 80:00 min.
- and (2) how this limit was determined [I'd always heard it was the
length of some particularly long piece of classical music, though I
suspect the size of the disc itself has *something* to do with it!].
If you've got the definite answer on these questions for me, I would
*very* much appreciate you passing this info along to me! Thanks much.
