Yes, but the 28k8 model is also essentially a V.E as well, which has not
yet been flashed with the 33k6 code.

Absolutely.

About 6 months ago.  However, with older Couriers, it was the daughterboard
which added V.34 capability to the modem.  The only likely problem with
these is that when CID is eventually introduced here, these modems will
require a very simple modification to their circuitry, unlike the newer
single board version of the Courier.
