G'day All !
After a lot of battles with M'soft, they have admitted there has been a 
problem with the MS Works program all along.
For those that use MSworks (it runs under Windows), you will have found that 
the spell-checker did not work or even load.  The problem is in the Windows 
Registry file.
Here is the solution from the mouths of Microsoft:
Exit all current programs.
Run:  C:\windows\regedit.exe
goto to Edit then to Find:  Spelling 2057,0     (be very careful with case, 
spaces, punctuation)
goto Edit then to Modify:
Change to:  Spelling 3081,0   (again be careful you get this correct) Save 
and exit.
Now my spell-checker works like a charm and draws attention to all my typos ! 
M'soft knew this all along but would not admit it.  There had been a wrong 
address programmed in all along.
