It really wasn't happy (screen full of 2's). I retried launching JAVA.SYSTEM under GS/OS and everything worked fine. Maybe ProDOS 1.9 doesn't like what I do to the second LC memory bank on a GS. Maybe booting ProDOS 2.03 would also work, but I didn't try that.
