I believe you can do a "soft mod" these days to the original Xbox and install Linux on it or whatever you wish. I have (3) original Xboxs that are all modded with mod-chips. They are the cheapest media centers around. I bought a few of them for $40 used. Great unless you become a HD snob like me and can't watch anything unless it is 720-1080p. They all ran XBMC - one for each main TV, and also could play games. I mainly used it for XBMC. I have since switched over to XBMC under Ubuntu (XBMC Live) on (2) ASRock Ion 300 systems. I can't say enough good stuff about XBMC. - Mark --- WWIVToss v.1.40 Registered* Origin: http://www.weather-station.org * Bel Air, MD -USA (1:261/1304.0) SEEN-BY: 3/0 633/267 640/954 712/0 313 550 620 848 @PATH: 261/1304 266/512 140/1 261/38 712/848 633/267 |
