Hello, Mike.
Well, I bit the bullet and installed BW 3.20 for DOS. Fiddled with all of
the settings to get it to work and it does work nicely for downloading
messages. I went in, did a manual access override on all of my message
areas and downloaded a packet (I did install BWREPFIX).
What I'm stuck on is that I keep trying to upload my packets but when BW
processes the messages, I get "Status: Unable to access message base;
skipped."
That makes no sense to me since I've removed the hierarchial message areas
(divisions), made all of the message area "names" numerical, made
sure everything had the right areatag and even fixed a few glaring errors
I'd somehow missed long ago setting up MSGAREA.CTL.
I've double-checked everything and I still am not sure why there's a
problem. I know it's not Max as everything works as it should using QWK
with the BW reader. Do you have any ideas or suggestions?
This is driving me nuts. I promised Nancy I'd have it up and running and
no dice yet.
Later,
Sean
