You haven't started anything. I've been studying electrical

engineering long enough to know which way the electricity likes

going most.

He's selling his internal modem, I suspect he's worked out that it

is much easier to bury external modem than to bury the whole

computer (bloody hard to change those CD's, isn't it?). We'll know

for sure when he'll be looking around for a 10m. serial cable.



Anyway, it is a level that really matters. Digging under the Telstra

exchange will likely brake the law. On the other hand he can legally

bury his modem under his own house as deep as his serial cable

length (as long as it's external, not a v34+ Dynalink).
