SA> Yup, I am running the 'Enhanced' US SDL, You should see it around, if
SA> not you can get it here on this BBS as SDL0112A.ZIP (D/L or FREQ)

Shall start hunting for this.

FF>> Does this thing have a massive power amp in it to drive the speaker?
 FF>> My God it's loud!

SA> I have had two Couriers now and they have both been like that, No
SA> little Squarkers in these modems! :). What I love about it is the
 SA> Volume Slider, VERY HANDY!!..

But very touchy. Goes from nothing to an ear splitting scream in the space
of a few millimetres.

SA> (Plus all the LEDS to tell ya whats going on)

A friend of mine has alway bought internal modems. When I'm at his place, I
feel like I don't know whats happening with a call because there are no
leds to look at for information.

FF>> The plug pack that supplies power to the modem emits quite a bit of
FF>> electri noise. I had move it so that it doesn't interfere with my
 FF>> monitor.

SA> Yeah?, i have a ARLEC Power Supply, same on?, This one seems fine.
SA> (Unless you SIT IT ON the monitor, then it flickers)

This one is actually a USR plug pack, made in China. It was sitting about
10cm below the monitor. The monitor's picture would vibrate horizontially
quite a bit. I guess it would be at 50hz. You couldn't look at the image
without starting to get a headache. It's now about 70cm away, and the
monitor's fine.

Regards,
Frank
