I am setting up a mail-only system that utilizes binkd, hpt, and htick, with
golded for directly working with messages as needed, but I have a curious
question.

In regards to actually managing EchoArea's, those have options like -p for
purge days, and -$m for number of messages to keep, but I don't believe that
hpt itself actually..... packs the messages?

I'm using Jam message bases for everything, including Netmail, so I'm wanting
to make sure my message bases don't end up growing to uncontrollable sizes
before launching this into production use, so I'm curious.

What do I need in order to insure that my message bases are being properly
packed and purged according to -p and -$m with Jam echoareas?
