Hi, Hap,
HN>Keel or centerboard? I'm still looking for a Soling, having had very
HN>little luck in the search, I may head up to seattle to look at some of
HN>the marina bulliten boards to see what they offer .
HN>That's one of
HN>the reasons we are looking at getting a soling....that puppy has a
HN>healthy keel that makes it really tough to dump, but you can heel it
HN>over a loooooong way .
Hap,
Solings are great boats. My first boat was a Soling. Let's see, if you
have a REALLY wide ranging search, there is one for sail next door, in
Toronto! It's pretty old, but all the bits are there and there are lots
of sails and a trailer (as you would expect with an old racing boat).
Maybe $5000 (which I think is too much, but the price may be negotiable)
Interested? I'll get details if you want.
This message is partly tongue-in-cheek. There is a Soling for sail,
but I wouldn't expect anybody to drive all the way across Canada for a
boat as common as a Soling. Good luck in your search.
