 Since Fido isn't a democracy, Moderators aren't elected. In this
 case, it would be a matter of trying to connect with Pamela and
 asking if she wants to continue or hand over the reins, etc.
 Or, if she can't be found, then the echo will expire and it
 can then be started again from scratch.  I've heard this can be
 a fiddly business, though.
 My guess is that she is find-able through one of the Internet
 search areas like www.whowhere.com.
