I think the two characteristics should be looked at separately.
There are only a few left-wingers here, probably a smaller percentage than
in the country at large, and if you limit the counting to US citizens, the
number is even smaller.
The number of non-believers may be higher than the number of left-wingers,
and possibly higher than the US average, but I think there are people who
believe in G-d but don't attach themselves to a particular religion.
