I'm thinking you might be thinking of the ads that get put into archive
comments, not into the actual FILE_ID.DIZ itself.  Those are two different
files.

DESCRIPT.ION is what 4DOS and 4OS2 used; you could actually do a
"long" directory listing and see what each file is for.
