NH> It's more likely that IBM doesn't use C++ because they didn't

BS> But they didn't develop C either?

True. If the time ever comes that 20% of the code produced by IBM is C
or C++, IBM may consider making their own language.

BS> Linux wasn't made by IBM, but they sell it to their customers
BS> anyway.

IBM is primarily a marketing company. The price of Linux (0, a number
which is extremely easy to convert to other currencies) allows IBM (and
others) to easily maximize their profits when Linux is resold. A
marketing company would be crazy to not take advantage of such a
situation.

BS> Well, many compinies did start to use Java the last years..
BS> So I don't bet so..

I'm surprised to hear that many companies started anything new in the
last years.
