OK so they're wild owls...but I put up a load of owl boxes in a some of our old barns & mostly ruined field shelters some years ago & every year at least 3 or 4 pairs. We've had to put string round our bird feeder as our somewhat rare birds were being used as a buffet by both the sparrowhawks & the goshawks & they really used to like the 2 species of woodpecker which visit....& so do I...
