To be a bit more precise, 4.285 minutes according to my calculator. 28.8 / 33.6 * 5 = 4.285714 :-) Or more specifically, $4.71, instead of $5.50 for said call, placed to the USA. Granted that one is in the business of doing this, as I once was, an annual saving of $1875. (2500 calls, at 1.10 per minute.) These figures happen to be chosen because they were actual, at a not-too far distant point in time - found in my phone bill reconciliation for the year. The average of 5 minute calls is also too close for comfort - you in the crystal ball business? Enough to buy that particular modem outright more than 4 times over, in the space of one year. I reckon that 90 day amortization makes for a reasonable investment. Even in times of high interest rates. Oh yeah. What's a "dummy"? Something babies suck on?
