Sounds like bean mosaic, Leah. It is a viral disease of beans, and the
recommended treatment (there is none that will make the plants
healthy again), is to yank and burn infected plants. Or, you can let a
crop of beans come, but your yields will be reduced by the amount of
chlorophyll-producing areas of leaf destroyed.
Organic matter added to the soil, particularly well-made compost,
will strengthen future bean plants against the virus. Sorry this crop
can't be helped. Why not try new plantings in a slightly different
area? You still have time to harvest a crop from new seedings.
